His psychedelic folk-come-blues-come-jazz performances are unique yet accessible, eccentric yet consistent.

Fri 11th June from 9:00pm: Gren Bartley

Gren is deeply rooted in old folk and blues traditions whilst stamping his own style on the genre. Often compared to the likes of Richard Thompson, Nic Jones and Kelly Joe Phelps, he is an emerging talent not to be missed.

His first demo CD released in 2005 titled "Detalina" received fantastic reviews and gave him a solid foundation in the East Midlands music scene. His second CD "eg" with fiddle sensation Tom Kitching, led to a record deal with folk stalwarts Fellside Records. The duo now work nationally with help from agents Emerging Music, and with the release of their first album "Rushes" the future is looking bright.

Gren's song writing is still at the forefront of what he does and his progressing solo career and continued work with Tom Kitching have offered him varying styles in which to hone his craft.
